STUDENT DISCOUNTS FOR PART TIME COURSES 2009/2010.

1. ALUMNI DISCOUNT – all students claiming an alumni discount must have
the alumni voucher from the alumni magazine. The discount is 15% off the first year of Part time course fees, if you are the Alumni student, and also Year 1 PhD full time courses.
Relatives of a member of the Alumni Association can get a similar discount at a rate of 10% discount. This is available to immediate family members (i.e. mother, father, son, daughter or spouse).

2. PARTNERSHIP SCHEME – a student who works in a school who takes 2
University  teaching practice students in a year can have 50% off 1 module.
4 student teachers equal 50% off 2 modules.

3. COLEG GWENT STAFF get a 50% discount on PT course fees.

4. Permanent employees of the University, who are paying for course fees themselves, are entitled to a 50% discount.

NB A student cannot apply multiple discounts to a tuition fee.

FEE WAIVERS.

1. UNEMPLOYED STUDENTS – students must be in receipt of the designated
benefits and have a completed GUF form or produce documentary evidence, they must also be on an undergraduate part time course.  NB registration and residential weekend fees still need to be paid by the student.

2. UNDER 19 – students who are under 19 years old at the start of the course
Cannot be charged a tuition fee, for an FE course.

3. Full time Access and Foundation Art students can have their fees waived if they have no financial support from their LEA.
